LG electronics Korean Consumer Electronics & Home Appliance Manufacturer, LG Electronics have started mobile appliance business since 1996. Formerly known as LG Information & Communication Co.(LGIC), which former Goldstar Telecommunication Company successor, build the first Korean made CDMA phones for Korean consumer market, and later it merged to mother company as department and start GSM division for export based mobile phone business. In 2002, LG UMTS Mobile division demonstrate the World first WCDMA Video Telephony at Korean-Japan World Cup Game Openning Ceremony, the nominal growth of Mobile Communication have been started. Currently LG MC Company produce CDMA, GSM, WCDMA products and recent success of design based phone concept series Black Label Series boosted its revenue since 2005.

The LG-GD900 is a fashion-focused slider with high end specifications phone from LG Electronics that was publicly unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2009.[1] It is claimed to be the world’s first transparent design phone. It comes with a dedicated Bluetooth headset that is also transparent in parts.

The transparent part of the GD900 is the sliding keypad, which is designed to glow when in operation. The main casing material is metal and the phone is 13.4mm thick.[2]LG are yet to decided if the GD900 will ship with tempered glass or plastic keypad.

In terms of features, the phone supports 7.2 Mbit/s HSDPA and has a rear-mounted 8MP camera with flash.[3] LG has released most of the phone's specification at the launch event in London on 28th of May. The GD900 is due to be released in mid-June in Germany, and in 40 other countries worldwide on the 1st of July. In the U.K. it will be exclusively available in the Carphonewarehouse.
